NEW AIRLINE - ALLEGIANT AIR ANNOUNCES NEW NON- STOP SERVICE TO ORLANDO:Low-cost airline Allegiant Air announces new, nonstop jet service to the fun and sun of Orlando, Fla. from Wilmington International Airport (ILM). The low-fare carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to the Sunshine State, with low fares. Check Allegiant's low fare rates to Orlando/Sanford at Fly ILM dot com and click on the Allegiant Air logo.
Among the changes coming to ILM, US Airways will soon fly new Embraer 190s on two daily flights between Wilmington and Charlotte. The 99-passenger planes include 11 first-class and 88 coach seats. The 190 offers more head room for passengers during boarding and more overhead and under-seat storage space than the regional jets.
Calender year 2007 was a record-breaking year for Wilmington International Airport in terms of passengers flying in and out of ILM. We served a total of 801,187 passengers in 2007: 405,072 outbound passengers, and 396,115 inbound passengers. This represents a 25% increase over the 2006 total of 640,663, and a 14% increase over the 2005 (our previous record year) total of 700,427. We are very appreciative of your support by flying out of ILM. These increased traffic numbers enhance our opportunity for additional service. We will continue to aggressively pursue more non stop service to our top 10 destinations
Again thank you for your continued support. Watch our home page for additional announcements for your traveling needs.
